Environment Sketches

Environment 1 -
This environment is intended for "peixy" who I have envisioned to live in a mystical space where  its dwelling would be located on the earth whilst it would scavenge its food beneath the sea. The aim was to create a peaceful, eery environment as I feel this would suit the creature due to its harmless nature and unknown inhabitance.

The image was hand sketched and brought into photoshop where it was re-coloured and tweeked before adding filtered effects.





Environment 2 -
This is a very simple, basic sketch of a city landscape that proposes the idea of bring the creature into a more realistic setting. I have created this image in sketchup and photoshop with the aim of providing a contrasting environment to the more mythical, fantasy world above.

"Wiley Walt" - A loud and playful creature, "Wiley" roams the earth feeding on virtually anything it can get its hands on. Its vibrant and reflective skin makes it very well noticed. 

 "Peixy" - This carnivorous creature lives on land but scavenges for food beneath the water. Its sharp and defined skeletal structure as well as its unique skin pigments provides a translucency within its environment. A relatively harmless creature never-the-less its main roles revolve around tracking scraps of left over foods.

"Googly Guggen" - A simple, short minded creature, "Googly" tries as he might is no scary monster. A natural born eater, he's well known for his oddly charismatic shape.

My chosen Contemporary Architect - Frank Gehry

Frank Gehry is one of the most well known and awarded architects of the last 50 years whose work has become immensely influential due to its deconstructive and abstract approach. Gehry's work expands across the globe where his buildings have become major tourist attractions and are "often cited as being among the most important works of contemporary architecture."


Gehry's fame extends further than his architectural achievements, as his influence is also highly regarded within interior design, most notably his "Easy Edges" furniture designs which utilizes cardboard as a medium.
